The Cairdeas Winery Barn is gorgeous!
Shona and I recently made a wine tasting appointment at the new Cairdeas Winery tasting room in Manson, WA. We were so excited since we had been very eagerly awaiting the completion of this new building since construction had started. Throughout 2020 and 2021, we all experienced many twists, turns, and bumps in the road, and nobody understands that better than Charlie and Lacey Lybecker.

The long months of construction were without a doubt worth the wait! This new tasting barn is so beautiful! I really took care here when sharing these images, as I wanted to leave some of the surprises for you when you visit. Here is just a peek at the interior and finished look. When you visit Cairdeas, you can look forward to the beautifully produced Rhône-style wines grown right here in Washington Stat. If you love wine varietals like Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Carignan, you will be very happy sipping in the tasting room here.
The Lake Chelan weather was picture perfect the day we visited, and we were seated at this table on the patio to enjoy our wine flight. Rhône-style wines are some of my most favorite. I am not anything close to a wine expert, but I can share that learning more about Rhône varietels really helped me expand my understanding the different wine-growing regions of the world and the intricacies of different wine grapes.
Cairdeas is a wine lover’s dream when learning about wine, or just trying the experience for the first time. Any of you first-time wine tasting travelers who choose this tasting room as their first step into the world of Lake Chelan wine, well, you are already winning. Their award winning-wine is highly coveted and always sells out. Get it while you can, here, or better yet, guarantee your allocation by joining the wine club.
The atmosphere here at Cairdea WInery has also never disappointed us here at Lake Chelan Wine Blog, We have had wonderful experiences every time we visit. The tasting room staff is fabulous and friendly, the bar itself is warm, inviting, and gives endless jaw-dropping views. I also have to mention here how impressed we have been by owners/winemakers Lacey and Charlie. We respect their support of the Lake Chelan Wine Valley, and toward other winemakers in the region very much, and also to us wine bloggers.
Here I am, sipping the 100% Carignan, which I loved.
I tasted lots of red fruit and baking spices. This would make a great wine to serve during the holidays! Other wines in the tasting flight included the Concrete Syrah, a 100% concrete egg aged Syrah from Lawrence Vinyard in Washington State’s beautiful Royal Slope AVA. If you are on the fence about Syrah, this one is lovely to try.
We loved the 2019 Finial red blend which is always a cult favorite. This was a blend of 56% Mourvedre, 26% Grenache, 12% Cinsault, and 6% Syrah. I believe this one is sold out at this time, so watch for the next release to purchase a bottle.
As you sip your wine flight or enjoy wine by the glass or bottle, you relish in this stunning view!
Lake Chelan is one of our favorite Washington Wine destinations, and these lake views are a big reason why. The winery is also dog friendly! Please keep in mind that they do have two resident winery dogs on-site if you are planning to bring your pup.
