I ran up to Four Lakes Winery today (well, actually I drove!) to shop for their two new estate wine releases from the Lake Chelan Ava.
They were:
– 2024 Estate Chardonnay
– 2022 Carménère
I don’t usually prefer Chardonnay, but enjoyed this one – it’s Washington style, so it’s not a butter bomb or oaky-smoky.
Not a lot of Washington wineries make Carménère, so I was happy to add it to my collection to share at an upcoming wine industry party at my house.

The grapes for this Chardonnay and the Carménère were grown right here on the estate winery at Four Lakes in Manson, Washington.

I had to work on this busy Monday so alas, I could not linger on the beautiful dog friendly patio to sip wine and enjoy the stunning view of all four lakes (Wapato, Antillon, Dry Lake and Roses Lake).

I’ll likely open the Chardonnay at lunch tomorrow, and I need to figure out if I should lay the Carmenere down for a while.

You should stop by @fourlakeswinery in Manson on your next wine tasting trip to the Lake Chelan wine valley! Try their blueberry wine, apple wine and new beer while you are there!
