National Rose Day in Lake Chelan

National Rosé Day is celebrated on the second Saturday in June (June 8, 2019 this year).

Let’s take a peek at local Rosé wines from Lake Chelan and surrounding areas, and any associated tasting room events and specials for the weekend.

Alta Cellars’ 2018 Rose  is a 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. It’s aged in stainless steel (yay! No oaky flavor!)

Amos Rome Vineyards is closed this weekend. They make a Cabernet Franc Rose.

Ancestry Cellars offers Grandma Lila’s Rose, a Sangiovese Rose fermented in stainless steel tanks. Their current Manson tasting room hours are Sunday through Thursday 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Cairdeas Winery makes a Rose blend of Grenache Noir and Syrah. They will be pouring their Rose at the Vintage Lake Chelan 10 Year AVA Anniversary this weekend.

Chelan Estate Winery’s 2017 Rose was made from 80% Merlot, 10% Chardonnay, and 10% Viognier.

For the first time in 11 years, C.R. Sandidge Wines made a Rose, “Glam Gams,” a 100% Syrah.

Fielding Hills Winery makes their 2018 Riverbed Rose out of 100% Cabernet Franc.

Four Lakes Winery makes an unoaked Rose called “Trinity.”

Hard Row to Hoe presents “Shameless Hussy” Rose for 2018. It’s a Grenache blend.

Karma Vineyards is selling their 2017 Estate Rose-eh, made from Syrah grapes.

The Rose wine from Lake Chelan Winery is an unspecified varietal. Anybody care to enlighten us in the comments below?

Mellisoni Vineyards is selling their 2017 Rose made from Cabernet Sauvignon.

Over at Nefarious Cellars, their 2018 Rose is a Pinot Noir.

One of the wines at One Wines is a Rose.

Rocky Pond Winery’s Rose of Grenache won a gold medal from Wine Press NW as well as a gold medal from the 2018 NorthWest Wine Summit.

Sadly, Siren Song Wines “La Vie Est Belle” 2017 Rose is sold out.

Succession Wines has a 2018 Columbia Valley Rose.

The Rose wine we’re the most intrigued to try is the 2018 Chula Rosado from Tildio Winery. It’s 50% Cabernet Franc, 50% Tempranillo.

Tipsy Canyon is new and doesn’t quite have a website yet, so we’re not sure if they released a Rose or not.

Tsillan Cellars’ estate Rose is called “Bocciolo di Rosa” and is a blend of seven varietals. It won Double Gold at the Seattle Wine Awards.

Tunnel Hill Winery offers an estate Pinot Noir Rose, made with 10% Riesling.

The Rose wine from Vin du Lac is a 100% Cabernet Franc.

The 2018 Rose from Wapato Point Cellars is a 100% Merlot.

WineGirl Wines offers both a 2018 Fruit Picker Rose (100% Syrah) and a 2018 Reserve Rose made from 100% Sangiovese.
